Steven C. Schwieterman, MD, Associate Program Director

I was born and raised in Ohio and received my B.Sc. Degree in Biology from Wright State University. I then continued on at Wright State University School of Medicine, receiving my medical degree in 1996. Upon graduation, I moved to Fort Wayne to complete my Family Medicine Residency training. I found the Fort Wayne area to be a great place to live and practice medicine and after graduation, I joined a Family Medicine group in Roanoke, a small suburb south of Fort Wayne.

After being in private practice for 11 years, I returned to the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 2010 as a full time faculty member. My clinical interests are obstetrics and preventative medicine. I very much enjoy teaching and interacting with the residents.

I like spending my leisure time with my family partaking in a variety of outdoor activities.
